A magnificent festival
The 15th Verbier Festival came to a beautiful close on Sunday. The closing concert, bringing together the UBS Verbier Festival Orchestra, conducted by Valery Gergiev, mezzo-soprano Kristina Kapustynska and pianist Hélène Grimaud, took place in a packed Salle Médran.
The Verbier Festival is making plans for the future and has announced that it will continue its orchestral activities with the Verbier Festival Orchestra. 16th Verbier Festival will take place from 17 July to 2 August 2009.
The programme will be unveiled in March 2009.
