Take the scenic route and discover Verbier Village, its history and heritage. A guide will reveal the secrets of its narrow streets and old chalets, before reaching the traditional village of Médières, for a concert and wine tasting that will delight your ears and taste buds.
Distribution
This hike takes you on a discovery of Verbier’s heritage and reveals the traditions of the local people. The walk descends steeply from Verbier resort towards the old village. Along the way, you’ll come across traditional chalets, century-old mazots and secret alleyways. The walk ends in the traditional village of Médières, where you can enjoy a concert and tasting of Valais wines in the village hall. Ten Valais wines will be offered for tasting, set to poetry and live music.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Meet at 09:30 in front of the Verbier Tourist Office on Rue de Verbier Station
- Easy level walk requiring good walking shoes
- Bring water, clothes suited to the day’s weather and a spirit of discovery!
