Maxim Calver first came to public attention as a finalist in the BBC Young Musician 2018 competition, where he performed with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. He studied at the Royal College of Music in London with Melissa Phelps and is currently pursuing postgraduate studies at the Universität der Künste Berlin under Frans Helmerson. Maxim has performed as a soloist with orchestras across the UK and Europe and has appeared at major festivals including the Gstaad Menuhin Festival and the Pablo Casals Festival. As a chamber musician, he has collaborated with artists such as Anthony Marwood, Timothy Ridout, and Alasdair Beatson. He is a regular participant in IMS Prussia Cove and is committed to exploring a wide range of repertoire, from early music to contemporary works.
