Biografia

La mezzosoprano britannica Ellen Pearson si unirà al Jette Parker Artists Programme al Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, a partire dall’inizio della stagione 2025/2026.

Diplomata presso il Royal Northern College of Music (First-Class Honours) e il Royal College of Music (Master’s of Music with Distinction), è Opera Prelude Artist, artista del programma di scambio di canzoni francesi del Wigmore Hall, Oxford International Song Young Artist 2024/2026, Samling Artist, Shipston Song Rising Star e Britten Pears Young Artist.

Ha ricevuto, tra gli altri, il Loveday Song Prize ai Kathleen Ferrier Awards 2025, il Nigel Beale First Prize e l’Anthony Lowrey Audience Prize al Hurn Court Opera Singer of the Year 2024, nonché il First Prize e il Best Duo Prize con Archie Bonham all’Ashburnham English Song Competition 2024.

È stata una giovane artista dell’Opera Holland Park 2023/24, dove ha cantato Rosina ne Il barbiere di Siviglia, e si unirà al Verbier Festival 2025 per cantare La Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi.

Durante la sua prima stagione al Royal Opera House, canterà Second Lady in Die Zauberflöte e Flora Bervoix ne La traviata sul palco principale, nonché Irina in Four Sisters di Elena Langer e Julia in The Departure di Elizabeth Maconchy al Linbury Theatre.
