Yunchan Lim a fait irruption sur la scène musicale internationale à l’âge de 14 ans. Il a remporté le deuxième prix ainsi que le Prix Spécial Chopin lors de sa toute première compétition, le Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists en 2018. L’année suivante, à 15 ans, il est devenu le plus jeune lauréat du concours international IsangYun en Corée, où il a également reçu deux prix spéciaux. L’année 2022 lui a apporté de nouvelles distinctions : il a récemment été nommé lauréat de la Médaille d’Or au Van Cliburn International Piano Competition (USA). Il s’est produit à travers la Corée du Sud — notamment avec le Korean Orchestra Festival, le Korea Symphony, le Suwon Philharmonic et le Busan Philharmonic, entre autres — ainsi qu’à Madrid, sur invitation du Korea Cultural Center en Espagne. Yunchan poursuit actuellement ses études à la Korea National University of Arts avec Minsoo Sohn.
Lynn Renouil-Hata began cello at age seven. She has had success at several international competitions, including First Prizes at the Vatelot-Rampal Competition and the International FLAME Competition in Paris. Gautier Capuçon has served as a mentor and coach to Lynn ever since she was named a winner of the well-known France2 programme, Prodiges, in 2020. The young cellist is regularly invited to play as soloist, both in France and abroad, including concerts at the Marcello Theatre in Rome and the Classissimo Festival in Brussels. Lynn studies with Annie Cochet-Zakine and Marie-Paule Milone at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris. She is also coached by Raphaël Pidoux, professor at the Conservatoire national Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris.
Virtuose et sensible, soliste et chambriste, tel est l’alto de Jean Sautereau. De sa formation rigoureuse au conservatoire de Paris, cette figure artistique montante retire un sens aigu de la constance et de la générosité. Primé à de nombreuses reprises, il est régulièrement soutenu par diverses fondations et est invité à jouer dans les festivals les plus prestigieux. Il est récemment lauréat de la fondation Porosus, de l’académie des Beaux-arts et reçoit le Prix André Hoffman aux Sommets musicaux de Gstaad. En jouant un récent alto de Charles Coquet, il accorde son instrument à ses visions d’avenir, pour une musique vivante et partagée, au miroir de la tradition.
Edward Walton was awarded Second Prize in the junior division of the 2021 Menuhin International Violin Competition. He is the youngest musician selected for the 2022 ABC Young Performer Awards (Australia), and in 2019, was awarded First prize at the Il Piccolo Violino Magico in Italy, the Medallion International Concerto Competition (USA) the Jeunes Artistes musicals du Centre in France and the International Grand Prize Virtuoso competition in London. Edward has appeared as a soloist with orchestras internationally and has performed recitals in Australia, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and at London’s Royal Albert Hall. In 2022 he makes his debut with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. He has attended the Kronberg Academy, Interlaken and Keshet Eilon master courses receiving masterclasses from Maxim Vengerov, Mauricio Fuks and Zakhar Bron. He studies with Robin Wilson and Emily Sun, and plays a Gagliano violin on loan through Beare’s International Violin Society.
Kinga Wojdalska has won numerous prizes in solo and chamber music competition, among them the Karl Doctor Prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition. She began her musical training in Warsaw and, in 2021, obtained a bachelor’s degree from the Royal College of Music in London. Currently, she is studying for a master’s soloist degree at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, in Lawrence Power’s class. She is supported by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust and Lyra Stiftung. Kinga performed at Musikverein in Vienna and the Wigmore Hall in London, and has appeared in festivals including Encuentro de Santander (Spain) and West Wycombe Chamber Music Festival (UK) ,where she shared the stage with Vilde Frang, Ivan Monighetti and Miklós Perényi. Since 2020, she has been a member Brompton Quartet. Kinga plays a modern viola by Jerzy Maslanka.
Cornelius Zirbo was born in Cluj Napoca where he began his musical studies at age nine. He is now studying at the National University of Music Bucharest under the mentorship of Marin Cazacu. In 2016-2017 was in the Classe d’Excellence de Violoncelle of Gautier Capuçon, held at Fondation Louis Vuitton. He has given recitals and concerts with orchestra in prestigious venues including the Konzerthaus Berlin, Fondation Louis Vuitton, Rudolfinum in Prague, St Martin-in-the-Fields (London), National Library Concert Hall (Beijing) and The Grand Hall of Romanian Athenaeum (Bucharest). He is an alumnus of the 2017 Verbier Festival Academy and has taken part in masterclasses at the Kronberg Academy, Barenboim-Said Akademie, Accademia europea di Palazzo Ricci Montepulciano, George Enescu Festival, and Lisbon’s Verão Classico Festival 2021 in Lisabon. He plays a modern cello made by Frank Ravatin provided by Le fonds instrumental of ‘Musique et Vin au Clos Vougeot’.
Andrew Byun is a Canadian cellist currently pursuing his Masters of Music with Natasha Brofsky at The Juilliard School. He has appeared in masterclasses with Steven Isserlis, Jian Wang, Frans Helmerson, and Laurence Lesser among others and has worked closely with the Borromeo, Brentano, Dover, and Emerson Quartets. Andrew has performed solo at Jordan Hall, Weill Recital Hall, and the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts and has been featured on the WMFT radio station and NPR’s From The Top as a recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award. A passionate chamber musician, he has been invited to the Taos School of Music, I-M-S Prussia Cove, and La Jolla Music Society’s SummerFest. Andrew attended the New England Conservatory Preparatory School and graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Music in Philosophy and Cello Performance. He has studied with Hans Jorgen Jensen, Myung-wha Chung, Yeesun Kim.
Justus Friedrich Eichhorn étudie avec Grigory Gruzman à l’école de musique Liszt de Weimar, où il étudie également la composition et la direction d’orchestre. En 2020, Justus est l’élève de Matti Raekallio à la Juilliard School pendant le séjour prolongé de sa famille à l’étranger. Il fait ses débuts à l’âge de dix ans avec le Concerto en ré de Haydn. Depuis, il a donné des concerts avec plusieurs orchestres, notamment le Concerto en la K. 414 de Mozart avec les Moscow Soloists, sous la direction de Yuri Bashmet. Justus a remporté de nombreux concours de piano, notamment le Premier Prix du Concours Bechstein de Berlin. En 2021, il s’est produit au Festival de l’île d’Elbe et a reçu le Prix Promotionnel. En 2022, il reçoit le Swiss Charity Award à la Tonhalle de Zurich et interprète le Deuxième Concerto de Beethoven. En 2023, il fait ses débuts avec l’Orchestre de Chambre Coréen au Seoul Arts Centre et interprète ensuite le Troisième Concerto pour Piano de Beethoven en Allemagne.
Jialin Yao étudie avec Sergei Babayan à la Juilliard School de New York. En 2021, il obtient son diplôme du Conservatoire de musique de Chine où il a étudié avec Hong Fu. Depuis 2020, il suit également les enseignements de Ruoyu Huang. Jialin s’est produit avec des orchestres à travers la Chine, notamment l’Orchestra academia China et l’Orchestre philharmonique de Wuhan. Il est lauréat de plusieurs concours, notamment le Concours international de piano de Singapour 2021, le Concours international de musique de Chine, le Concours Steinway en Chine et le Concours international de piano Shigeru Kawai, entre autres. En 2018, KNS Classical a publié son premier album, Campanella.
Violinist Jaewon Wee recently won the First and Audience Prizes at the 2022 Washington International Competition and the Second and Best Performance of the Commissioned Work Prizes at the 37th Klein International Competition. Last year, she was also awarded the Second & the Special iPalpiti Prizes at the George Enescu International Competition and, in 2019, as a winner of the Juilliard Violin Concerto Competition, she made her New York debut at Lincoln Center, Alice Tully Hall. Jaewon has appeared as soloist with the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Italy Palermo Festival Symphony Orchestra and Korean Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra, among others. Graduate of the Juilliard’s Master of Music Degree programme, Jaewon continues in a Graduate Diploma programme on full scholarship at the New England Conservatory, studying with Donald Weilerstein.
