Fabian Broman Crawford-Phillips

Cellist Fabian Broman Crawford-Phillips began playing the cello at the age of four. After early studies with Solan Saving, he was admitted at six to the music school Lilla Akademien in Stockholm, where he studied with Elisabeth Lyssel until 2025 and now continues his studies with Ulrika Edström. Since 2024, he has also received regular lessons from Torleif Thedéen.
He has taken part in masterclasses with musicians including Louisa Tuck, Amalie Stalheim, Jakob Koranyi and Martti Rousi, and has performed alongside artists such as Lawrence Power, Raphael Bell and Aki Sauliere.
Fabian made his orchestral debut at the age of ten with the Stockholm Youth Orchestra, performing Elgar’s Cello Concerto in the Unga Solister competition. A prizewinner in this competition in both 2022 and 2024, he is also the youngest recipient of the Welin Stipendium.
He has appeared at festivals including Penarth, Gstaad, La Loingtane, Change, Wye Valley and Oslo Chamber Festival.
