Luís Dias Canali is an Italo-Portuguese cellist currently studying with Frans Helmerson at the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin. He previously studied with Pieter Wispelwey and Marc Coppey and has performed in masterclasses with Gary Hoffman, Laurence Lesser, and Jérôme Pernoo. Luís has appeared at festivals such as Seiji Ozawa Academy and Ticino Musica and was selected for the Orchestre des Jeunes de la Méditerranée. He is an active chamber musician and has performed in Europe, North America, and Asia. His musical interests include contemporary repertoire and collaborative projects that explore intersections between music, language, and visual art.
