Alina Wyer earned three performance diplomas from the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory: piano, organ, and harpsichord.
In 2013, as a recipient of a scholarship from the Maria Pawlowna Society, she continued her organ studies with Prof. Michael Kapsner and Prof. Silvius von Kessel at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar. In 2014, she obtained her soloist diploma in organ there. Her education was further complemented by studies in church music in the class of Prof. Dr. Martin Schmeding at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, as well as in organ pedagogy with Prof. Andreas Jost at the Zurich University of the Arts. In January 2022, she also earned a Master’s degree in Choral Conducting from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Music (HSLU).
Alina Wyer is a laureate of the Bach Prize and several international competitions. She won first prize at the Saint Petersburg International Organ Competition (2011) and the prestigious M. Tariverdiev International Organ Competition in Kaliningrad (2013). In Kaliningrad, she was also awarded seven special prizes, including the audience award. In 2016, at the XX International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition in Leipzig, she received third prize and a special prize for her concert at the Bach Festival in Tübingen.
Her vast and eclectic repertoire spans from the early 16th to the 21st century.
Alongside her primary activities, Alina Wyer maintains an active concert career on her three instruments, both in Switzerland and abroad, performing as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles.
Since 2018, Alina Wyer has been the principal organist, choir director, and assistant to the musical director for the parish of Visp and the parish of Visp-Eyholz-Baltschieder. She also teaches piano and organ at AMO (General Music School of Upper Valais).
