NEW VERBIER FESTIVAL GOLD ALBUM: EVGENY KISSIN PLAYS CHOPIN

NEW VERBIER FESTIVAL GOLD ALBUM: EVGENY KISSIN PLAYS CHOPIN

28 November 2025 – Verbier (Switzerland) – The Verbier Festival is honoring the legendary pianist Evgeny Kissin with an exclusive Chopin album, released under its prestigious joint label Verbier Festival Gold, in collaboration with Deutsche Grammophon.

Since the very first edition of the Verbier Festival in 1994, Evgeny Kissin has graced its stage almost every year, missing only three editions. Over more than three decades, the pianist has come to embody the very essence of loyalty, virtuosity, and artistic excellence that lie at the heart of this exceptional musical gathering.

From a very young age, Evgeny Kissin’s heart was drawn to Chopin. Today, the virtuoso is now regarded as one of the greatest interpreters of the composer. “The main meaning of music is that it elevates us into the world of the sublime” stated the pianist.

In the Piano Concerto No. 2, two Nocturnes and the fourth Scherzo by Chopin, Kissin reveals the two faces of Chopin : the intimate lyricism and the dazzling brilliance of his repertoire.

Evgeny Kissin plays Chopin is available on Apple Music Classical from November 28th, 2025 and on all streaming platforms.
