Miles Davis’ In a Silent Way marked a turning point in music history. Its hypnotic pulse, open forms, and electric textures blurred the lines between jazz, rock, and ambient sound — a quiet revolution that reshaped how musicians approached improvisation and space.
To mark the jazz legend’s 100th birthday, Wooden Elephant — returning to Verbier after three summers of acclaimed reimaginings of Björk, Radiohead, and Beyoncé — takes on Davis’s masterpiece. Commissioned by UNLTD, this world premiere strips In a Silent Way down to its essence.
Set within the intimate atmosphere of South, this late-night club performance captures the spirit of Miles’s original sessions — raw, spontaneous, and alive. Seats are limited and fill quickly.
