GREAT ARTISTIC AND PUBLIC SUCCESS OF THE 32ND EDITION OF THE VERBIER FESTIVAL: BOX OFFICE GROWTH OF 18% COMPARED TO 2024

August 4, 2025 – Verbier (Switzerland) – The 32nd edition of the Verbier Festival concluded last night after 19 days of top-notch music. The quality and diversity of the 2025 programme were unanimously praised by the large crowd: 2025 will remain the best year for ticket sales since the Verbier Festival’s inception in 1994, with revenue growth of 18% compared to 2024.

24 concerts were sold out (11 at the Salle des Combins and 13 at the Church). More than 46,000 tickets were issued for this edition.

The Academy was also a great success, with around 100 free masterclasses acclaimed by the public (70% were sold out). UNLTD, the Verbier Festival’s creative laboratory, also attracted many new spectators with around fifty events presented in various Verbier venues and outdoors. VF KIDS offered more than 40 activities for young audiences, complementing the workshops held throughout the season in partnership with schools in Valais.

François Reyl, Chairman of the Verbier Festival Foundation Board, praised the success of this edition: “True to its values of excellence and transmission, the Verbier Festival has once again proven its ability to reinvent itself and confirm its status as a leading platform for classical music. This year’s artistic and public success encourages us to offer an ever more generous and comprehensive vision.”

“Thank you to the extraordinary family of artists who dazzled us once again this year. Thank you to all the teams, partners, and audiences for their trust and enthusiastic support. The Verbier Festival is currently experiencing unprecedented momentum, and this is a great inspiration for all of us to develop the Festival year-round in every corner of the world” commented Martin Engstroem and Hervé Boissière, Co-CEOs.

Several announcements were made during the Festival to this end: the creation of a Verbier Festival in Shenzhen (China) from January 30 to February 8, 2026, the intensification of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra’s tours in 2026 and 2027, and audiovisual development in partnership with EPFL—all initiatives that strengthen and sustain the international reputation of the Valaisan event.
