Rimma Bergeron-Langlois

Since 2000, violinist Rimma Bergeron-Langlois has been an integral member of the Verbier Festival in Switzerland. She served as Concertmaster of the newly created UBS Verbier Festival Orchestra from its founding in 2000 until 2007. Since its inception in 2005, she has continued as Concertmaster of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, leading key projects including the Maxim Vengerov EMI recording, the Schloss Elmau residency, and the Tsinandali residency. At the Verbier Festival, she was featured as a soloist in Vivaldi’s Concerto for 4 Violins alongside James Ehnes, Pamela Frank, and Roman Simovic under the direction of Sir Antonio Pappano. Her work with the ensemble also includes recent international appearances at the Tongyeong International Music Festival and the Shenzhen Verbier Festival.

Bergeron-Langlois has served as Concertmaster of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra for 15 years. In this role, she performs a major violin concerto with the orchestra every season, play-conducts the ensemble in chamber orchestra repertoire, and presents solo and chamber music recitals.

In 2025, at the invitation of Lahav Shani, she served as guest Concertmaster for the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra’s European tour. She will also serve as guest Concertmaster for a concert series with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in 2027. Her additional orchestral performances include appearances with the National Arts Centre Orchestra and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

Bergeron-Langlois began playing the violin at age five and made her first public appearance on Ukrainian National Television at age six. She received her early musical education at the specialized music school in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and was a prize winner at the Adolescent’s Assemblies of Arts International Competition in Moscow, Russia. She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the New England Conservatory in Boston, where she studied with Masuko Ushioda and Donald Weilerstein.
