Carmen Campo Real
Poet
Carmen Campo Real, born in Paris in 1968, is a French activist poet with a focus on social issues. She lives and works in Geneva. Beginning her career as a journalist at TF1, she later collaborated with magazines such as Glamour, Jardin des Modes, The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, Vogue, and Elle. Through this work, she discovered her passion for investigative journalism—exploring complex situations and building connections with others. Since moving to Geneva in 2002, she has dedicated herself entirely to writing and performing poetry in French. Her publications with Slatkine include Perfusions (2009), Cartilage (2010), Hiatus (2014), Janus (2018), and Hubris (2022). In 2026, Carmen Campo Real is the Verbier 3-D Sculpture Park Poet-in-Residence. She is represented by the Sonia Zannetacci Art Gallery.
