Biography

Mikołaj Woźniak is a Polish pianist studying at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel under Claudio Martínez-Mehner. He has won numerous prizes at national and international piano competitions and has collaborated with artists such as Kirill Gerstein, Robert Levin and Andreas Staier. His engagement with contemporary music has been shaped through work with György Kurtág and masterclasses with Thomas Adès, under whose guidance he continues to deepen his understanding of contemporary repertoire. Mikołaj adapts his interpretations to each musical context and performance space, moving with equal ease between solo and chamber repertoire, from Baroque to contemporary music. Highlights of his upcoming projects include György Kurtág’s Double Concerto Op. 27/2, under the direction of Heinz Holliger.
