Hubert Zapiór

Internationally recognised for his interpretations of Mozart and Rossini roles, Polish baritone Hubert Zapiór has built his career around characters such as Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, and Papageno in Die Zauberflöte. In recent seasons, he has also begun to broaden his repertoire with roles including Marcello in La bohème, Albert in Werther, and the title role in Eugene Onegin.

Next season’s highlights include the title role in Szymanowski’s King Roger at the Polish National Opera and Komische Oper Berlin, a revival of the title role in Eugene Onegin at Komische Oper Berlin, Silvio in Pagliacci at Dutch National Opera, and the baritone solo in Szymanowski’s Stabat Mater with the Warsaw Philharmonic.

In future seasons, he looks forward to returning to the Norwegian National Opera and Dutch National Opera, as well as making his debut at the Wiener Staatsoper.
