Formed in 2022 at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, the Fibonacci Quartet has quickly established itself as one of the most promising young European chamber ensembles. The quartet studies with the Elias Quartet at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln and is currently part of the Netherlands String Quartet Academy, where it works regularly with internationally renowned chamber musicians and pedagogues. In 2024, the ensemble won First Prize at the Royal Overseas League Competition and received the Esterházy Foundation Prize at the International String Quartet Competition Bad Tölz. The quartet is represented by Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) and has appeared at venues and festivals including Wigmore Hall, Konzerthaus Berlin, the Heidelberg String Quartet Festival and the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. Passionate advocates for both core quartet repertoire and contemporary music, the ensemble has developed a reputation for energetic performances, refined ensemble playing and thoughtful programming.
