Founded in Vienna, the inn.wien ensemble brings together a collective of young musicians committed to imaginative chamber music programming, interdisciplinary collaboration and new approaches to concert performance. The ensemble’s projects combine classical repertoire with contemporary music, improvisation, theatre and experimental formats, creating performances that move fluidly between traditional concert settings and more immersive artistic experiences. Its members come from a wide range of musical backgrounds and regularly collaborate with artists working across contemporary music, historical performance and performance art. Alongside appearances in Austria, the ensemble has presented projects internationally in festivals, concert halls and alternative venues, developing a distinctive artistic identity centred on collaboration, flexibility and curiosity. Through collective creation and shared artistic direction, inn.wien ensemble explores new ways of connecting performers, audiences and repertoire.
