18 DAYS, 50,000 TICKETS: VERBIER FESTIVAL CLOSES A RECORD-BREAKING
EDITION AND RENEWS ITS SHENZHEN PARTNERSHIP

2 August 2026 – VERBIER (Switzerland) – The 33rd edition of the Verbier Festival draws to a close this evening after 18 days of music at the highest level. The quality and diversity of the 2026 programme were unanimously praised by a sharply growing audience, who came to attend the 236 concerts and events on offer this summer.

Verbier Festival continues its growth trajectory with record box office revenue since the event’s founding: 27 concerts sold out (12 at the Salle des Combins and 15 at the Église). More than 50,000 tickets were issued over the course of this edition.

The Academy also enjoyed tremendous success, with around a hundred free masterclasses proving hugely popular with the public (70% were full). UNLTD likewise won over many new audiences with 40 events staged across various venues in Verbier and outdoors. VF KIDS, meanwhile, offered 32 activities for young audiences, complementing the workshops run throughout the season in partnership with schools across Valais.

“Our ambition to create an exclusive musical immersion at the heart of the Swiss Alps continues to be met with a response from the public that warms our hearts. Thank you to all the extraordinary artists who dazzled us throughout the Festival, and our deepest gratitude to everyone who makes it possible for us to fulfil our mission: sharing the power and beauty of music with rigour and generosity.
The success of this 33rd edition encourages us to champion our values of excellence and transmission with ever greater creativity. The growth of our winter Festival in Shenzhen (China) is a wonderful example of this, as are the upcoming tours by the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra to Japan, Europe and the United States.
A heartfelt thank you to the audiences who travel from all over the world to be part of the Verbier Festival community,” said François Reyl, President of the Foundation Board, Martin T:son Engstroem and Hervé Boissière, Co-Artistic and Executive Directors.
